Commercial Acceptance – Riverside, CA 2012

With funding from our strategic partner NRG Energy adaptiveARC deployed a ce25 Cool Plasma® gasification system at the University of California at Riverside in 2012.  This system was used for commercial acceptance testing to facilitate permits for commercial projects developed by NRG Energy and paved the way for the commercial design that was deployed in Missouri.

Use of Syngas:  Electrical generation with a Caterpillar genset

  • Electrical generation with a Caterpillar reciprocal engine
  • Automated control instrumentation
  • Safe flaring of syngas when not not routed to the generator
  • Ash analysis proven to be inert and non-toxic
